As the presidential election excitement escalated in 2008, M+R helped AARPdevelop the concept for an online video “Get Out the Vote,” which put YOU right in the middle of the presidential election!

AARP sent 3.1 million personalized emails embedded with the video, and viewers sent over 4.7 million more messages to friends telling them to check it out. Most people watched the video multiple times and bloggers liked it too—over 100 blogs shared the video with their readers.

This video was featured on CNN, Fox News and in PR News as one of the most innovative viral marketing strategies on behalf of a nonprofit organization in the 2008 election.
