Strategic Planning

Success for a nonprofit can be tricky to define: How many people were educated?  Informed? Served?  Engaged?  Activated?  How much money was raised?  Did legislative policy change? Corporate?  Policy opinion?  At M+R, we help diverse organizations design effective online strategies that are tailored to their organization and needs, improving their online presence, raising money and attention, changing poicy, and reaching other organizational goals.  Our clients include familiar names such as Oxfam America, Human Rights Campaign, AARP, and many more.

We work closely with these and other organizations to build deliberate and decisive online programs focused on the user experience.  Through a comprehensive planning process, we work closely with organizations to develop tailored, multi-year strategic plans that often integrate online advocacy with online fundraising, direct mail, grassroots field efforts, and other activities.  We provide our clients with the insight, tools and know-how to launch and run effective online programs that:

  • Maximize an organization’s political impact;
  • Recruit new supporters;
  • Engage and cultivate new and existing supporters;
  • Make the most of last-minute opportunities;
  • Continually track and test information about an organization’s constituents;
  • Use that knowledge to refine and target online communications;
  • Evaluate effectiveness on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis; and
  • Build toward an organization’s long-term strategic goals.

Our strategic program plans include annual projections, communications schedules, roles and responsibilities, and much more.
