Administrative Director
M+R Strategic Services is a full-service, national public affairs firm with offices across the country. We are looking for an Administrative Director to manage our New York City office. The Administrative Director will provide administrative support to staff in NYC and coordinate with accounting and operations staff in M+R’s Washington, D.C. headquarters, among other responsibilities.
Job Responsibilities
- Management
- Manage daily office needs;
- Work with HQ to conduct orientation and training for new NYC staff;
- Work with NYC staff to prepare relevant marketing and client materials;
- Assist Senior VP’s with scheduling, travel and paperwork;
- Help plan NYC marketing events; and
- Make sure weekly and bi-weekly office meetings are taking place and work with NYC Office Director to prepare agenda and materials in advance.
- Support
- Ensure that contracts are approved, signed and returned to client and HQ;
- Prepare new client forms;
- Process personal expense reimbursements when staff are on the road or on deadline;
- Assist with processing vendor bills and payments, including credit card bills; and
- Schedule meetings with clients and various officials.
- Basic Office Responsibilities
- Field calls to the front desk;
- Sort mail and sign for deliveries;
- Greet visitors
- Be a liaison with landlord and tenants;
- Maintain office supplies;
- Coordinate with office vendors;
- Schedule conference room for M+R and tenants; and
- Call for equipment repair and maintenance and ensure that physical office is maintained by staff and landlord.
Qualifications
- Interest in working for a progressive organization dedicated to public interest causes.
- Resourceful self-starter who can take initiative and follow through on projects.
- Experience working with Microsoft Works Programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Job Responsibilities
The Consultant will work with a team of media relations professionals, grassroots organizers, public affairs specialists, technology vendors, and others to develop and implement integrated strategies for online campaigns.
- Client Management. Serve as a point of contact for 2-3 nonprofit clients, managing the day-to-day relationship with those clients.
- Project Management. Manage a team of specialists and vendors through development and marketing projects from start to finish.

The graphic designer will work with a team of online advocacy, fundraising and marketing professionals as well as nonprofit clients and technology vendors. Primary design responsibilities include concepting and creating graphics for use in our clients' online fundraising, advocacy and marketing campaigns. Tasks may include designing email and web site wrappers, web site looks, banner advertisements, custom layouts and graphics for Myspace pages and Facebook applications, social networking badges and icons, etc. Designer may also be called on to create print graphics, such as flyers or postcards.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have a degree in graphic design or a related field with at least two years of work experience. They should possess excellent design skills for the web; have advanced knowledge of HTML, XHTML, and CSS, and be proficient in Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat, Flash (CS3) and FTP software. Knowledge of Javascript is preferred. Previous experience working with Convio, Expression Engine, GetActive, and other CMSs, as well as Myspace and Facebook, is a plus.

The Online Technology Specialist will work with a team of online advocacy and fundraising professionals as well as clients and technology vendors. Paid Internship - Policy Advocacy Support
M+R Strategic Services is seeking an intern in our Missoula, MT office to support our work with a variety of nonprofit clients who are dedicated to public health, conservation and other progressive public policy issues.
The intern would also conduct research and assist with administrative support. Compensation DOE.
The intern must be able to work approximately 20-30 hours per week and for at least 2-hour blocks of time.
