M+R Strategic Services is dedicated to advancing the missions of our clients in order to bring about positive change. We do this by developing smart, targeted strategies to help organizations hone their messages, mobilize their members, build on-the-ground support, raise money, and communicate effectively with the media, the public, and decision-makers.

Our History

M+R Strategic Services is a full-service national firm structured to design, run, and win legislative, media, and policy campaigns. Since 1991, our regional teams have worked effectively to raise millions of dollars and recruit hundreds of thousands of supporters for our clients and their causes. With a pioneering approach to online marketing and Internet engagement, matched by expertise in issue advocacy and constituent mobilization, M+R helps clients advance their interests and win support for their causes at the city, state, and federal levels.

M+R remains closely affiliated with its founder, Malkin & Ross, an Albany, NY-based lobbying firm that represents more than 40 clients including nonprofit groups, corporations, and trade and professional associations whose goals align with broad public interest.

M+R is headquartered in Washington, DC, with offices in New York City; Seattle, WA; Portland, OR; Boston, MA; Berkeley, CA; Cleveland, OH; and Missoula, MT. Our staff of about 75 includes specialists in public relations, media, internet engagement, economics, policy, and field organizing, most of who came of age working on behalf of the public interest. M+R extends its own reach through working relationships with independent campaign, lobbying, research, and communications firms in all 50 states.
