Transportation For America

Since 2008, M+R has helped Transportation for America grow from a small start-up campaign to a powerful voice on transportation reform! We began by injecting the voice of the campaign into the news cycle, positioning T4America leadership as experts on transportation related-issues such as high gas prices. MSNBC, The Wall Street Journal, USA Today, and NPR all featured T4America in stories on transportation and infrastructure.

We then helped develop and implement "Build for America," a five-point plan that calls on President Obama and Congress to move the economy forward by investing in a transportation system that meets America's needs – today and tomorrow. The release of the report was timed to coincide with the October 2008 presidential debate focused on the economy.

The M+R team has continued to place T4America at the center of the news cycle through national telebriefings with key policymakers and experts. By mobilizing online activists, helping organize state-by-state outreach and events, and planning and implementing high-profile D.C. events, we have also helped T4America energize grassroots supporters and recruit more than 200 new partner organizations around the country.

Today, we have a network of bloggers tapped into the campaign, a host of followers on Twitter.com, and a dynamic new campaign micro-site – MyCommuteSucks.org – where supporters are turning their daily frustrations with transportation into action for reform!
