What AI “saw” in 3.8 billion nonprofit emails

BENCHMARKS SPECIAL! We used AI to analyze 3.8 billion nonprofit emails. Here’s what we found.

Do long emails or short emails do better?

Do personal stories help or hurt?

Is it worth personalizing subject lines?

Should we send from a person or from the organization?

Until now, the only tool in our toolbox to answer questions like these has been A/B testing.

But thanks to a new platform called Scout AI, we no longer have to look at these questions one email at a time.

We built Scout AI to answer questions nonprofit marketers are really wondering about, and to take it out for a spin, we used it to analyze five years of email content for 12 nonprofits in our Benchmarks study. These groups are able to use Scout AI just like with ChatGPT or Gemini, typing in questions into a chat window in plain English to get clear answers about their email programs.

We used that same engine for a first-of-its-kind analysis showing key performance drivers of email across all of Scout AI’s participants. While you’re waiting for our Benchmarks launch on April 22, you can see the findings in our free whitepaper.
